In the world of memory foam vs latex mattresses, you need to be conscious of the differences.  Yet even those memory mattresses that are sold as eco friendly will have substantial differences between them too, so as you go shopping, you need to do a lot of investigation before you commit to purchasing a particular one.  Purchasing a king or queen memory foam mattress or a latex foam mattress is a serious financial investment, hard to undo, so the very last thing you want is to discover is that you’ve acquired the incorrect one after you’ve paid so much money.

Latex mattresses are made either from the sap of rubber trees or else with manmade, petrochemicals substances, and often these 2 kinds are blended into one mattress.  Since a totally natural latex foam mattress is extraordinarily expensive, the mixing is commonly a cost-saver.  But it is’s also done because natural latex could be less comfortable, whereas petrochemicals provide additional softness and give.  However it’s not always critical to use such chemicals because a latex mattress can also be made more comfy with the infusion of natural oils and vegetable elements.

A latex mattress is created in one of two ways.  With the Standard method, the rubber sap is whipped into a froth, to fill it with the air bubbles that give memory plastic its unique traits.  After the whipped substance is sealed in a mold, it’s heated and cured into finished form.  The Talalay methodology adds thousands of pin-like spikes to the mold, creating channels for the air bubbles and making the final latex froth mattresses more buoyant and resilient.  Both of these processes can use blended foam, though, so you’ll have to analyze further if you’re concerned about eco-friendly mattresses.

Nor is each latex mattress necessarily organic, so that will be the main certification to test out.  If a mattress is just labeled’natural’ or’green,’ it may still contain some artificial materials.  Having actual’organic’ certification {, however ,} should mean that all materials used will be completely natural, and chemical and pesticide-free.

You must be bound to do all the analysis needed before you buy a new mattress.  Even labels that appear to meet your own high ecological standards might be’fudging’ the facts a bit where presumably’green’ products still contain petrochemicals.  And foreign manufacturers might not be as reliable as you had was hoping.  If you find out all the information you can about mattresses latex and memory foam mattresses before you head out on your shopping expedition, then you should be ready to make a much more informed decision, with all of the facts at your disposal.
